Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient Chinese Martial Arts that is rapidly spreading across the world due to its immense health benefits.
We teach the Yang style Tai Chi, learnt from Sifu Daryl Johnson, a disciple of Grandmaster Fu Sheng Yuan. We also train in the Yang Lu Ch'an style under Peter Smith, a very Senior Instructor under Erle Montaigue, a Master of Internal Martial/Healing systems of Tai Chi (Taijiquan) Bagua, (Baguazhang), Qigong (Ch'i Gung), Dim-Mak, realistic self-defense, Weapons, Healing and more.
Master Jaideep Bhale Rao studied Yang style Tai Chi Chuan in Singapore under Master Yeo in 1992, and on his return to India in 1995, trained under Sifu Daryl Johnson. Subsequently, he trained under Sifu Peter Smith, when he was based in Mysore in 2008 and continues this training whenever possible.
System of teaching:
In keeping with the Kadihai philosophy of physical training in the first stage we teach Tai Chi Chuan as a martial art explaining the techniques of offense and defense. Along with the form, its martial applications are demonstrated and explained. Students are encouraged to test the applications and find their effectiveness themselves.
We also teach Qigong (Ch'i Gung) from the beginning to introduce an awareness of Chi or internal energy.
Tai Chi Chuan has spread worldwide primarily as an exercise form to maintain health and specifically in recovery after injury. While we teach Tai chi as martial art in its purest traditional form, students are welcome to practice purely for energy and health reasons.
